Community Safety & Service
Our Community Safety & Service programs are designed to foster a safer, more connected Redwood City by supporting individuals and uplifting the collective. From youth development and career pathways to second-chance services like tattoo removal and community-wide efforts like our annual Toy Drive, each initiative centers healing, opportunity, and belonging. This section also includes PACE, our paused but impactful program for transition-aged youth, which we hope to evolve with the support of future partners. Together, these programs represent our commitment to building a community where everyone can thrive.
Through our Community Safety & Service programs, we provide hands-on support, second chances, and safe pathways forward for youth and families across Redwood City.
Purposeful Action Creation & Engagement (PACE)
The PACE Program remains a valuable model shaping our commitment to transition-aged youth. Its framework informs our ongoing work in community safety and service, and we are now seeking partners, donors, and sponsors who share our vision of empowering young people on the path to success.
The PACE program is a multi-faceted approach to expanding youth access to jobs, education, enrichment, mentorship, and leadership opportunities through advocacy, referrals, and parental support. By improving service delivery from city agencies and nonprofits, we aim to significantly enhance services for hard-to-reach youth. Additionally, we aim to build a pipeline to prepare youth for decision-making roles on Redwood City advisory bodies, ensuring their readiness to succeed in these positions.

When running, the PACE program connects teens and young adults (ages 14-21) and their families to:
-
Jobs
-
Paid internships
-
Education
-

-

-

PACE keeps at-risk, transition-aged youth safe and out of the justice system and provides positive outlets to help them identify natural talents and avenues for growth, including:
-

-
